How To Apply For Vietnam Visa On Arrival With Indian Passport In 2025? 

Recent years, the number of Indian citizens is getting much more than before. The distance is not too far, you will easily arrive in this country within only a few hours by taking a flight.

In order to enter and stay in Vietnam, Indian citizens are allowed to be able to apply for Visa On Arrival which is a kind of online visa.

Through only a few simple steps, you can get it to enter Vietnam:

  1. Before arrival

Step 1: You will be needing to get the approval letter first. This letter is used for boarding the airplane as well as get the visa stamp on arrival. In order to get it, you need to complete the online visa application form via website of tourism agencies by providing some personal information.

Step 2: You will be required to do the online payment right after completing the visa application form. Depending on the kind of visa you choose (single or multiple entry, the length of your stay in Vietnam), the price would be changed.

For Indian citizens, 6 month and 12 months visa with multiple entry are not accepted to apply.

Step 3: After 48 working hours, the approval letter will be sent to you via email. Your name will be shared with others as a list of applicants. If you mind about this, you can require to make a private letter with the higher fee.

With the approval letter, you just need to print it out and present it for boarding the airplane.

Take note: 

  • Following the approval letter as above, you should take note that you can just enter Vietnam later than the entry date and leave Vietnam sooner than the exit date.
  • There are only 6 international airports which accept Visa On Arrival:
  • Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi city
  • Tan Son Nhat international airport in Ho Chi Minh city
  • Cam Ranh international airport in Nha Trang city
  • Da Nang international airport in Da Nang city
  • Cat Bi international airport in Hai Phong city
  • Phu Quoc international airport in Phu Quoc island

 

  1. Required documents

Before going to Vietnam, you should prepare every required document to get the visa stamp on arrival:

  • Your original passport

There are still at least 2 blank pages and its validity must be more than 6 months from the day you enter Vietnam.

  • The approval letter (print it out).
  • The visa application form: In order to save your time, you can consider to download this form via website of tourism agencies and complete it before boarding the airplane. If not, you can also get it at Visa On Arrival counter and fill it right after.
  • Cash: You should prepare enough cash to do the payment for the visa stamp (only USD is accepted).

  1. After arrival

After arrival, you will be needing to look for Visa On Arrival counter. Each airport has its own name of Visa On Arrival counter such as Visa Upon Arrival, Landing Visa… From here, you just need to submit every required document and then waiting for your turn to get the passport back, do the payment and get the visa stamp to enter Vietnam.
