After a long period of closure due to pandemic, Vietnamese government has decided to restore international flight routes, restore visa policies for all countries like before the pandemic, re-issue electronic visas, restore the visa-free policy, and at the same time open up the tourism industry to welcome international visitors back as before.

Philippine passport holders can easily apply e-visa to enter Vietnam as before, specifically as follows:
First, Philippine applicant needs to prepare a clear picture or scan of passport. Note that Philippine only need to scan personal information page and passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the time of entry. In addition, the Philippine applicant needs a digital self-portrait (white background).
After preparing the above two documents, Philippine need to access the website to apply Vietnam E-visa online and fill in the necessary information as well as attach the scanned passport and digital photo. This process only takes about 2-3 minutes to complete.
Vietnam electronic visa will be sent to the registered email after being approved by the Immigration Department. Electronic visa will clearly show the personal information of the visa applicant, the validity of the visa and the place of entry. Therefore, Philippine need to carefully check information when applying visa online.
On the day of entry, the immigration department at the airport or land border gate will check the E-visa and compare it with the information on the system. Philippine do not need to present any additional documents other than the original passport.
