Japanese Can Get Exempted From Vietnam Visa Again From March 15, 2022 | Vietnam Visa Exemption For Japanese 2022

Good news for Japanese who want to come to Vietnam: Vietnam resumed the visa exemption program for Japanese and other countries. Japanese passport holders can get exempted from visa when entering Vietnam for tourism purpose from March 15, 2022.

Vietnam resumed visa waiver program in 2022

Vietnamese visa waiver program is the program allowing foreigners coming to Vietnam without applying visa. Before Covid-19, Japanese and other 23 nationalities can get exempted from visa when entering Vietnam in a specific of time. Due to the pandemic, Vietnam government has temporarily suspended this program for 2 years, and just decided to reissue this program from March 2022.

All nationalities in the below list can get visa exemption to enter Vietnam again in 2022:

Japanese can be exempted from Vietnam visa in 2022

According to the visa exemption policy which is just resumed by Vietnam government, Japanese can get 15-day exemption of visa if they come to Vietnam for tourist purpose. Japanese coming to Vietnam for business purpose cannot get exempted from visa and have to apply visa in advance. In case travelling more than 15 days, Japanese also need to apply visa.

Along with visa resumption of visa exemption, Vietnam also resumed the visa application policy. Both tourist visa application for Japanese, business visa application for Japanese, e-visa application for Japanese, visa on arrival application for Japanese are reissued from March 2022. Japanese passport holders can easily apply Vietnam visa through the internet and get visa approval through email.
