Along with resumption of international air routes, Vietnam government has decided to recover visa policies same as before Covid-19 period to welcome international tourists again in 2022. All visa policies such as e-visa, visa on arrival, visa waiver program were resumed.
Vietnam visa waiver program for Thai is resumed from March 2022
Vietnam visa waiver program allows Thai as well as eligible nationalities to enter Vietnam without visa. Due to Covid-19, it’s temporarily suspended from March 2020. At that time, Thai cannot apply Vietnam tourist visa due to travel restriction. Only those who come to Vietnam for business purpose can apply entry permit and enter Vietnam in this period, however, the procedure is very complicated.
After two years of closure due to Covid-19, Vietnam government finally decided to open the borders and welcome tourists back from March 15, 2022. All visa policies are recovered the same as before Covid-19, including visa waiver program.
Vietnam visa waiver program for Thais is resumed from March 2022, and Thai can enter Vietnam with free-visa for a short period of time.
In details, Thais who come for tourist purpose can enter Vietnam without visa for maximum 30 days. This visa waiver program will be valid until new further official rule.
