Vietnam Resume Visa Issuance For Investment, Business And Working Purpose From September 2020

Vietnam government has approved to grant visa for investment, business and working purpose from September 2020. Those who are eligible for visa issuance should contact the sponsored company in Vietnam and submit visa application ASAP.

1/ Who can apply Vietnam visa from September 2020?

According to the latest update from Vietnam government, these below cases are eligible to enter Vietnam: Holders of diplomatic and official passports and their family members; experts, investors, business managers, high-tech workers and their family members; and Vietnamese wishing to return home.

The experts, investors, business managers, high-tech workers who are sponsored by a Vietnam company can submit visa application and enter Vietnam after getting approved.

2/ Procedure to apply Vietnam visa and enter Vietnam for investment, business and working purpose

In order to get Vietnam visa in this sensitive period, the applicants must do a lot of requirements:

First, inbound foreigners contact the visa agent in Vietnam as well as sponsored company in Vietnam for visa submission. The procedures will be in two steps:

• Applying “entry permit” from the local provincial committee which visitors will work there. It requires: business license, application form, invitation letter from sponsor company. This step should be processed by visa agency.
• Applying “visa approval letter from the immigration department. After getting the “entry permit”, the visa agency will continue to prepare related documents and submit in immigration office to get the approval of entry.

Second, the foreigners must test virus corona from 3-7 days before departure date. This test is a must for boarding the airplane and get visa on arrival.

Third, the foreigners can choose the accommodation for quarantine before coming. The quarantine fee will be paid by foreigners or by sponsored company.

Forth, after landing, the foreigners will be check temperature and quick test for corona virus. All documents will be check carefully and will be granted visa as the request. And the quarantine procedure will be applied right after getting visa successfully.
